What are embroidered patches?
Classic, raised and built to last
Embroidered patches are stitched with strong thread onto a twill backing. The raised stitching adds depth and a subtle 3D effect, so logos, crests and lettering stand out on any garment.
They have a classic, timeless appeal and suit designs with bold lines and strong colour contrast. Whether it marks a graduating class, a club or a company logo at a trade show, an embroidered patch gives a sense of quality and belonging.
You choose the embroidery coverage (50%, 75% or 100%), the border and the backing. Most designs use up to 9 thread colours at no extra cost.

Embroidered or another finish?
Embroidery is ideal for bold lines and high contrast. If your design has very small text or fine detail, a woven patch keeps it crisper. For photos and gradients, choose a printed patch. Not sure? We recommend the best option with your quote.

Embroidered patch questions
What does embroidery coverage mean?
It is how much of the twill backing is covered in thread: 50%, 75% or 100%. More coverage gives a richer, fully stitched look. The patches guide explains each level.
How many thread colours can I use?
Most designs use up to 9 standard thread colours without extra fees. Metallic and neon threads are also available.
Can embroidered patches be washed?
Yes. Strong thread, clean stitching and durable backings mean they keep looking good with regular wear and washing.
